COSCO acquires stakes of 12.5% in TLT and 30% in HLT
NewsCOSCO SHIPPING Ports has acquired 12.5% and 30% stakes in Thai Laemchabang Terminal and Hutchison Laemchabang Terminal for US$ 110m.
OnePort kicks off with ECA service
OnePort, the online trade portal formed earlier this year by Hong Kong International Terminals (HIT), Modern Terminals Ltd (MTL), Cosco-HIT and Tradelink Electronic Commerce Ltd to manage the flow of containers and vessels at the Kwai Chung containerport (see WorldCargo News January 2003, p21) has launched its Empty Collection Appointment (ECA) service to help reduce handling, trucking and storage charges for USbound container exports.
