Maersk eyes Chinese box terminals

Maersk Sealand is reported to be in discussions with the Shanghai Port Authority (SPA) about buying a stake in Phase IV of the Waigaoqiao container terminal. The company is also talking with the Xiamen Port Authority (XPA) with a view to setting up a terminal at the Chinese port closest to Taiwan.
