ICTSI to challenge court ruling on Durban Container Terminal tender
NewsICTSI says it will defend its contract award for the upgrade of DCT2 in the next stage of legal proceedings.
The Suape container terminal in northeastern Brazil remains crippled as the dispute drags on between local unions and Tecon Suape SA (TSSA) , wholly-owned by ICTSI. “There are no ships,” an ICTSI spokeswoman confirmed, adding that Hamburg Sud, Suape’s first major client, had not resumed calls at the 600,000 TEU/year capacity facility since TSSA suspended operations in mid-March after a well-publicised start-up in January.
