The port of Zhapu in China’s Zhejiang province, located on the northern half of Hangzhou Bay some 95 km south of Shanghai, will be opened to foreign vessels soon to help improve the province’s investment environment and develop the local economy.

Official figures show that the port, the only one in northern Zhejiang, has received 600 vessels and handled 2.2 mill tons of import and export cargo over the past five years.
