Patrick teases with robot straddle carriers

Australian stevedore and terminal operator Patrick is once again talking up the prospects of its labour-replacing “robot” straddle carrier project. But the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) has declared the concept of a partially automated port to be “unfeasible.”
