Port of Dover boosts operations with new Liebherr LHM 550 mobile harbour crane.

DP World’s Antwerp Gateway is set to boost its daily rail container handling capacity by 100% thanks to a new Liebherr crane.

The Port of Greenock received the first of two new £25m STS cranes, set to be operational this year to meet rising cargo demand and boost transatlantic trade.

A 25% tariff will apply to all STS cranes “from China”, including cranes produced by Konecranes, impacting US ports and terminal operators.

Nigeria’s largest RoRo multipurpose terminal, Port and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML), has procured a LHM 600 mobile harbour crane, valued at over €7 million.

“Alternative drives and automation were key topics in the maritime cranes product segment” Liebherr said in its review of 2023.
