Paceco España SA has received another repeat order from PSA International, to design, construct and assemble a Paceco Portainer crane for the Port of Sines in Portugal.

Paceco España SA has reported an order from Guadeloupe Port Caraïbes in Guadeloupe in the French West Indies for a post-Panamax Paceco Portainer STS crane, for Port de Jarry. The crane will be required to be able to operate in very high winds. Port de Jarry container terminal already has a high crane density, with five STS cranes on a 600m-long quay.

Industry consolidation and the increasing size and stack heights on ULCVs mean more STS cranes are being placed on the second-hand market.

Paceco España has recently launched a new product called Spyder that leverages the Internet of Things (IoT) to connect cranes and equipment in the terminal to a central monitoring and reporting application.

Paceco España has signed significant contracts with Mediterranean terminal operators for very large Paceco Portainers, which the company describes as “Malaccamax cranes”. All the cranes are of a twin girder boom design, with state-of-the-art AC drives and other features such as LED lighting.

Paceco España has provided more information on the Portainer it is supplying to port operator SOCEP in the Port of Constantza, which it listed in its return for the July 2015 STS crane survey in WorldCargo News. New information is that the company is supplying two rubber-tyred Transtainers and its “very powerful” Poseidón v4.0 terminal operating system, as well as the 65t SWL (twin 20) STS crane with 60m outreach (22-wide) and 42m lift height.
