Update on box flooring
NewsThe Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) has issued an update on the use of the ‘IICL Omega Floor Design’ in the industry.
New floor glueline treatments
Though bamboo and bamboo/ pine composite plywood container flooring, developed in response to environmental challenges to reduce the industry’s dependence on tropical hardwoods, has been available since the mid-1990s, there has hitherto been no proven insecticide formulation suitable for the glueline treatment of bamboo that meets Australian Quarantine & Inspection Service (AQIS) requirements.
