Red Sea port calls plummet by 85% in 2024
NewsThe Red Sea region experienced an 85% drop in deep-sea port calls, from over 200 to under 40 per month, during January-June 2024.
The on-again off-again crane tender from the Port Authority of Guam (PAG) has taken a step forward, with the PAG approving US$14M in loans for the purchase of two cranes. Some of the money will be borrowed directly from the US Department of Agriculture which will also act as a guarantor on a bank loan for the balance.
