NGOs sue EU Commission over ‘flawed’ green classification for polluting ships
NewsNGOs are taking the EU Commission to court, arguing that its ‘flawed’ sustainable finance criteria improperly classify polluting planes and ships as ‘green’.

As expected, the Project Team (PT) of experts set up to consider the feasibility of developing standards for the EC’s proposed European Intermodal Loading Unit (EILU), designed to optimise metric pallet stowage capability and combine the advantages of containers and swap bodies, has found that compromises would be necessary to satisfy all the requirements specified in COM (2003) 155 (see WorldCargo News June 2004, p1).
