South African bulk container liner manufacturer Power Plastics SAhas been put up for sale following the announcement that its founder and majority shareholder, David Price, is planning to retire.

Price is also relinquishing the daily running of Power Plastics Ltd at Thirsk in the UK, with this company subject to a management buyout by a number of longterm employees. The sale of the South African firm, according to general manager John Mills, is due to be finalised before the current year-end and it is understood that several major parties are interested in a possible takeover.
