Valencia resumes operations in aftermath of deadly flooding in Eastern Spain
NewsThe Port of Valencia has resumed operations at CSP, MSCT, and APM terminals after severe flooding temporarily halted activity across eastern Spain.
Algeciras’ record throughput of almost 53 mt last year (+ 10.9 percent) included a 7.1 percent increase in container traffic to 2.15 mTEU. The port’s growth plans, says port authority (APBA) commercial manager Gerardo Landaluce, are based on the Campamento (ex-Crinavis shipyard), the Outer Isla Verde, further development of ro-ro/ferry traffic, better inland road and rail links and the big logistics park (ZAL) at San Roque, about 15 kms inland from the port.
