Karachi seeking Japanese aid

Karachi Port Trust (KPT) is seeking financial and technical assistance from Japan for the rehabilitation of older berths. An estimated US$40 mill is required to increase draught to 13.5m alongside berths 4-9, East Wharves, which have been earmarked for a new container terminal.
