Gwadar port plan revived

After postponing the project last year (see WorldCargo News November 2000, p7), the Pakistan government has revived plans to build the country’s third major port at the remote western town of Gwadar and is looking for investors to develop it as a transhipment hub for cargo to and from Central Asia.
