Kenya’s new president William Ruto has cancelled the previous requirement that containers moving between the country’s capital, Nairobi, and its
main port, Mombasa, be cleared at Nairobi’s inland container depot, ICD Nairobi, which has a handling capacity of 400,000 TEU a year, rather than at Mombasa.
