Three groups have pre-qualified to bid for a contract to improve the navigability of the Magdalena River in Colombia. The work, which will take place along 700 km of the river, originally attracted interest from nine consortia in April 2013.
The 945M contract involves the design, construction, implementation and maintenance of the river flow on what is Colombia’s main inland waterway artery. It is set to become the largest transport infrastructure project ever carried out in the country.
