Orbassano-Aiton in trouble
The loss-making Lyon-Turin intermodal rail service, using Modalohr technology between platforms at Aiton and Orbassano, is in danger of being wound up unless a “white knight” can be found to save AFA Autostrada Ferroviaria Alpina/Autoroute Ferroviaire Alpine, the bilateral parastatal route manager that is being propped up by aids from the French and Italian governments.
