Empties up in Amsterdam

Container traffic over Amsterdam rose by 21% last year to 370,000 TEU (3.4 Mt). The main driver behind this growth, says the port authority (GHA) was the growing number of larger ships (8000 TEU) opting to call as well as empty container moves, which rose by 109% to 55,601 TEU.
