The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) has begun work on the A$3M replacement of the 35 year old Dowd’s Hill tunnel on the line between Broken Hill and Adelaide, a key part of the programme to enable double-stack container trains to travel from Parkes through Broken Hill to Adelaide and Perth.
