DB moves on EWS and Transfesa

Confirming months of speculation, fuelled by their own joint statement some time ago that they were examining ways of “extending co-operation,” DB has announced that it plans to acquire 100% of EWS, Britain’s biggest rail freight company and the “legacy” Channel tunnel through traffic operator. DB also plans to acquire a majority share in Spanish operator Transfesa.
