Siemens/Ceplus team up
NewsSiemens Automation and Drives and CePLuS Steuerungstechnik GmbH have announced that they will combine their activities in anti-sway systems for cranes. To this end, Siemens has acquired a controlling interest in CePLuS.
Hamburg-based TWS Tankcontainer-Leasing GmbH reports positive results with a new tracking and monitoring system developed for a customer transporting tank containers by rail throughout eastern Europe.
According to TWS, not only is industry making more and more complex technical demands on the equipment it uses, but customer needs often go beyond pure container rental. Their requirements include protecting, securing and monitoring of both the equipment itself and the products it contains, ranging from tracking its position and monitoring temperature during transport, to theft protection and determining how long containers remain at a particular location, as well as all changes in position.
