Aruba Networks has deployed its new Aruba AirMesh outdoor wireless solution at the Port of Yokohama in Japan.

AirMesh employs the Layer-3 network technology (where devices have routing capability) that Aruba acquired when it purchased Azalea Networks in February. Azalea specialised in outdoor wireless and had developed a system to carry latency-sensitive video and voice traffic over long distances using mesh networks.
