Algeciras Bay Port Authority (APBA) is the latest Spanish port to commit heavily to shore power for ships, with plans to electrify all berths with a new network. Initially, shore power will become available in 2025 at the passenger ferry berths in the ports of Algeciras and Tarifa. The plan is to extend it to all berths at the port, including the container terminals, by 2030.
