Mains-powered RTGs for Oslo

Kalmar Industries has secured a groundbreaking order from the Port of Oslo for four massive RTGs, each with a 9+1 span and 1 over 4 lift height. The deal, awarded in close competition with Kone-cranes after Fantuzzi Group and ZPMC dropped out, is the outcome of a 30 month study by the port which, due to the close proximity of residential areas to the container yard and for environmental reasons, specified a plug-in electric feed.
