The continuing uncertain demand for new containers, with little real prospect of an improvement in prices, is continuing to have a significant impact on the world’s manufacturers of corner castings

Manufacturers of container corner castings are particularly vulnerable to changes in box demand and pricing and have thus been impacted strongly by the market downturn and fluctuations of the past two years. During that time, annual container output has fallen back by almost 40 percent on its previous high point in 2000, while prices have plunged by over 15 percent on average.
