Eurogate’s decarbonisation journey
NewsEurogate Group, with a fleet of over 400 straddle carriers, aims for net-zero emissions by 2040 and is piloting diesel alternatives for its fleet.
Eurogate has announced plans for its Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven (CTW) to convert its straddle carrier system to automated operations. “The automation project will get under way in January 2022,” said Eurogate. “The project has an investment volume of around €150M over the next three years. The terminal is expecting to carry out its first automated berthing operations as early as 2024.”
