Tractors take an autonomous journey

The industry appears ready to embrace automated terminal tractors, judging by the effort now going into development work. Last month, WorldCargo News revealed that Terberg has developed an AutoTUG version based on its YT terminal tractor, and the company has now confirmed plans to exhibit a purpose-built automated machine without a cab at TOC Europe in Amsterdam in June. As discussed in this issue (p26) Terberg has been working on AutoTUG since 2014, and is now bidding for orders.
