WorldCargo News started a series of mobile harbour crane (MHC) market surveys – and MHC railmounted and pontoon-mounted derivatives – in January 2003 and up to and including January 2009 they enjoyed the support of the leading OEMs, who supplied their annual references.

Subsequently, however, Gottwald’s then owner, Demag Cranes AG, took the decision not publish the reference list and inevitably Liebherr followed suit (although Liebherr provided market data in January 2010 and January 2012). Our MHC surveys in January and October (or November) are therefore general reports.
