ABB wins US$40M orders from ZPMC

New batch of RMG, STS cranes arrives at Colombo West International Terminal (CWIT) in Sri Lanka.

The S-ASC includes a new hoist system, with the hoist drive optimised by increasing the rotating speed and reducing the output torque of the hoist motor.

Five STS cranes and two RTGs were delivered to Kribi Deepwater Port, Cameroon, for its Phase II expansion, set for completion in 2024.

Under new rules from the US Trade Representative, ship-to-shore cranes ordered before May 14, 2024, and arriving by May 14, 2026, will avoid a 25% tariff on imports from China.
