SSA Marine (SSAM)’s COO Ed DeNike dropped a bombshell at a port productivity conference in Long Beach last month when he revealed that the company is negotiating with ZPMC to install its “zero emission” elevated rail system for automated quay-to-yard container transfer at the Pier J terminal in Long Beach, operated by SSAM as Pacific Container Terminal (PCT).
