Railpower rescued

Canada’s Railpower Technologies Corp, developer of the EcoCrane hybrid RTG drive, has been sold to the R J Corman Railroad Group, a Kentucky, US-based shortline operator, emergency services provider and railroad construction company. The sale is pending Court approval as RailPower is trading under creditor protection (see WorldCargo News February 2009, p4).
