House Committee report says ZPMC poses risk to US security
NewsHouse Committee reports says ZPMC could serve as “a Trojan horse capable of helping the CCP and the PRC military exploit and manipulate US maritime equipment and technology.”
ZPMC has responded to the latest WorldCargo News ship-to-shore container crane market survey (July 2007, pp24-36) by supplying an updated reference list. The latest forward data for 2008 show another 36 cranes on top of the 102 cranes previously listed.
There are another 16 cranes on order for domestic Chinese customers, but the biggest difference is that ZPMC is now listing 10 tandem 40 cranes for DPW Jebel Ali for delivery during 2008, instead of listing the first six units of this 21 crane order (previously undersood to be 15) for delivery in 2009 (ie they are now the second-to-last delivery).
