KE grabs an opportunity

Kirow Leipzig, which owns the Kranbau Eberswalde (KE) and Kocks crane marques, recently relocated a Kocks type DWK slewing crane from the Elbe port of Brunsbüttel to the Rhine port of Düsseldorf. The crane, with a capacity of 24t-20m/12t-40m and integrated hopper, dates from 1970, but had undergone extensive modernisation in the past. The cab and all the electric controls had been renewed and the planetary gears overhauled.
