It is understood that straddle carrier “newcomer” Consens-Transport Systeme GmbH is to be sold at a public auction in Germany next month (December 4). The company is believed to be in a state of “preliminary insolvency,” but work on orders in hand, including straddle carriers for customers in the German sea ports and 20 Conspeeds for APM Terminals in Portsmouth, Virginia, is understood to be continuing.
