Tractors take an autonomous journey
NewsTerminal operators continue to work with companies to develop and test autonomous terminal tractors. While most are proceeding cautiously, Hutchison Ports has much more ambitious targets.
A step forward for Cargospeed?
A full-scale demonstration of the Cargospeed ro-ro, rail/road transfer technique for non-liftable, semi-trailers took place last month at the Barrow Hill rail test centre in Chesterfield, England. The centre is run by Newrail, part of Newcastle University. Newrail took over the rôle which the ARRC at Sheffield University previously had in this EU-backed project.
