The CEO of Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is stepping down; HHLA Group looking for new CFO; new manager for Coquimbo Port; key appointments at Bolloré Logistics, DHL Deutsche Post and Kühne + Nagel; new COO for Inchcape Shipping Services; DoKaSch strengthens its hand in Asia

Robin Silvester is to step down as CEO of Vancouver Fraser Port Authority after 14 years in post, but will stay on until a a replacement has been found. Sylvester came to western Canada from the UK in 2003 to head up P&O Ports Canada. Prior to joining P&O Ports he worked for steel maker Corus.

 

Hamburg, Germany: Following an internal row at Executive Board level, Tanja Dreilich has lost her job as CFO of HHLA after just four months in post. Dreilich joined HHLA from a management position with automotive technology company ZF Friedrichshafen, but, according to local media, has repeatedly clashed with CEO Angela Titzrath, who has the support of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Rüdiger Grube. At the time of writing, no statement has been issued by HHLA.

Ernesto Piwonka has been appointed general manager of Coquimbo Port Company (EPCO) in Chile. He takes over from Julio César, the port’s CFO, who was appointed interim general manager to replace Aldo Singorelli, who left to take up a post at the Port of Barranquilla in Colombia last December. Julio César retains his post as CFO.

 

Puteaux, France: Jérôme Petit has been appointed Deputy Managing Director of Bolloré Logistics. Petit has been with Bolloré Group for 30 years, mostly in the Asia Pacific region. He then headed up Bolloré Africa Logistics (BAL) for seven years until May this year, when the sale of BAL to MSC was completed.

 

As of 1 July, Niki Frank will be the new CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific. Presently CEO of DHL Global Forwarding, South East Asia, Frank will succeed Kelvin Leung who is retiring after more than 20 years with Deutsche Post/DHL Group. Frank started with DP/DHL in 2012 as VP, Corporate strategy. In 2019 he became CEO of DHL Global Forwarding India.

 

Kuehne + Nagel has appointed new regional managers. Damian Raczynski is national cluster manager, UAE and Oman. He joined K & N in 2010 as a national contract logistics operations manager in Bucharest and relocated to Dubai in 2014. Bert Bloem is national manager for South Africa. Bloem has been in logistics for 28 years and has been national air logistics manager for K+N South Africa since 2009. His appointment is of added significance since K+N has just announced an agreement to acquire Morgan Cargo, a South African, UK and Kenyan freight forwarder specialised in the transport and handling of perishable goods.

Emily Tang

Inchcape Shipping Services has appointed Anna Evangelidis as its new COO. She brings a wealth of experience, having previously worked at BP, Saipem and LR, where she held various positions as a naval architect, pipeline engineer, procurement, and other operational leadership roles.

 

Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany and Guangdong, China: DoKaSch Temperature Solutions has appointed Emily Tang as Sales & Business Development Manager for China. The post is focused on DoKaSch’s Opticooler packagings aimed at pharma and biotech customers.
