New record for Namport
NewsNamport handled 8 million tonnes of cargo in the financial year ending 31 March 2024, driven by increased exports of salt, copper, fish, ore, and marble.
Seven bids have been received for the contract to construct the new container terminal at Walvis Bay in Namibia. The seven bidders include three Chinese companies – Sino Hydro Corporation, China Gezhouba Group Company and China Harbour Engineering Company – and another bid was submitted by a consortium of Southern African banks, including Standard Bank.
