Former NZ Port CEO on trial
NewsThe former CEO of Ports of Auckland has been personally charged with breaching the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 over the death of a stevedore during lashing operations.
Ports of Auckland is now facing a judicial review of its decision to proceed with two berth extensions to its terminal. Around 2011, the port consolidated most container operations at its Ferguson terminal, and Bledisloe became a multipurpose terminal.
