The CDU (Christian Democratic Party), the largest opposition party in the Hamburg parliament, has called for a central terminal for inland navigation to be set up in the Port of Hamburg. This is not the first call for such a facility, but Hamburg has fallen behind Rotterdam (trimodal “Transferium”) in this regard.
