LPS 500 for DPW Antwerp

DP World Antwerp recently officially commissioned its first Liebherr rail-mounted portal crane, an LPS 500, based on the LHM 500 platform, with a maximum outreach of 51m and maximum lift capacity of 104t.

Earlier this year DPW Antwerp disclosed that it would be acquiring five such cranes as part of its €50M investment in breakbulk facilities in the Churchilldok, which it operates as a joint venture with Rickmers Linie and Conti Line (see WorldCargo News February 2010, p37).
