Landlocked Uganda has long had to rely on the Kenyan Port of Mombasa to handle its vehicle imports, which are now estimated at about 40,000 units/year. However, Uganda Property Holdings Ltd has announced that it has completed the construction of a new car terminal next to Makupa Causeway in Mombasa that will be dedicated to the Ugandan market.
