CTAA: Port of Melbourne hit by congestion following DP World IT issues
NewsThe Port of Melbourne is grappling with landside congestion following IT issues at DP World’s West Swanson Terminal this week.
Officials from two potential investors, DP World and Katoen Natie, have “checked out” the Salvadorean ports of Acajutla and La Unión. Acajutla is the country’s major cargo seaport but its facilities are run down. La Unión, also known as Cutuco, is a new port built with finance from the Japan Bank for International Co-Operation and is intended to have facilities for handling containers and grain as well as a passenger terminal.
