IR cleared to draw Japan loan

The Indian government has approved the terms of an overseas development assistance (ODA) loan from Japan to allow Indian Railways (IR) to start drawing Rs1.3B (US$26.5M) to commission an engineering study for the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) project, which is expected to cost Rs262B.
