Rhenus Rail has taken a 50% stake in LTE Logistik- und Transport GmbH, a private Austrian rail operator based in Graz. GKB Graz-Köflacher Bahn und Busbetrieb (GKB) retains a 50% stake. LTE operates mainly in Austria, Hungary, the Czech and Slovak Republics and Romania and the strategic tie-up with Rhenus, which is subject to regulatory approvals, opens up new market opportunities along the Rhine axis in the Benelux and Rhein-Ruhr regions.
