MSC, Antwerp’s biggest customer with a throughput of 1.8 mill TEUlast year, has pulled out of its joint venture project with Hessenoordnatie (HNN) to develop an automated terminal on the left bank (Deurganckdok). Instead it wants to take over HNN’s concession on the south side of the Delwaidedok, inside the locks, with HNN as its operator (a new joint venture?).
