Kazakhstan plans new China-Russia transit route
NewsKazakhstan is developing a new trade route from China to Russia via the Irtysh River, with a port and railway planned, aiming for completion by 2026.
As previously reported in Worldcargo News, apart from setting up Russia’s first automobile terminal in the Port of Saint Petersburg (Onega Sea Port Cargo Terminal), Oslo Marine Group (OMG) earlier this year acquired from Rosa Holding two other port operating companies – Western Company (ZK), which operates two berths handling dry bulk cargoes and sawn timber in the port of Saint Petersburg, and Port Vyborskiy.
