Kazakhstan plans new China-Russia transit route
NewsKazakhstan is developing a new trade route from China to Russia via the Irtysh River, with a port and railway planned, aiming for completion by 2026.
In April Finnish container shipping company Containerships Ltd Oy signed an agreement with the relevant regional authorities to develop two new container terminals in the Russian Baltic, at a combined cost of around E170M. One is slated for Primorsk, near Vyborg and the other for Yanino, near the new highway ring road around Saint Petersburg.
