It is understood that a member of the senior personnel at Belotti Handling SpA has been suspended pending an enquiry by Italy’s treasury police into alleged financial and other irregularities surrounding the bankruptcy of the original Belotti SpA in 1998.

In addition, an administrator has been appointed by the local court and the company is being prepared for sale. The likely buyer is thought to be Lugli, the Italian small FLT manufacturer, which is keen to expand its product base.
