Gangavaram shortlist

News-in-print

India’s Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (APIIC) has shortlisted seven of the 10 companies that submitted expressions of interest in a Rs15.20 bill (US$310 mill) project to develop the port of Gangavaram as a major port (see WorldCargo News November 2001, p9).

The shorlisting of EoI bids was due to have been completed by December last year, but was delayed because of clarifications sought by some of the bidders. They will now be invited to submit detailed proposals and APIIC expects to finalise investors for the development well before construction work begins in April next year. The project itself is scheduled to be completed by March 2005.
