The Water Transport Workers Federation of India has asked the Shipping Minister not to privatise Rajiv Gandhi Container Terminal at the port of Kochi in south India on the basis that it is already making profits and those profits could increase fourfold with an investment of Rs1.5 bill (US$33 mill).
